Introduction :

Chefchaouen, or Chaouen, is a city in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. It’s known for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled lanes. In the shady main square of Place Outa el Hammam is the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress and dungeon, and Chefchouen Ethnographic Museum. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque rises nearby.

Full Day Trip To Chefchaouen from Fes

After breakfast you will meet the driver and start your day tour from Fes to Chefchaouen via Meknes, first, you will see the ancient walls with monumental gates dating back to XVII-century such as famous gateway in Africa Bab Mansour, Bab Khemis, El Heri es-Souan huge granaries and stables built by Moulay Ismail’s and Moulay Ismail mausoleum that was a long time only a mosque which non-Muslims are allowed to visit it. Then we’ll visit also Place-El-Hedim great monumental. 12.30 lunch at A local restaurant in Meknes 13.30 Our day tour didn’t finish, Back to our vehicle for the next stop, the holiest Islamic town Moulay- Idriss built by Moulay-Idriss- I, open just for Muslims, but it gives to visitors an excellent impression just by taking a look at the hallway of the town. It’s a panoramic view. We’ll see together elongated square above us, green-tiled pyramids of the Zaouia also we’ll stroll between the labyrinth of clean alleyways. 15.00H Our last stop Volubilis, attractive preserved Roman ruins in North Africa to learn more about the historical and cultural Roman city that looks at the ruins of the Arch of Caracalla, Basilica, and Capitoline Temple. Then you’ll have free time to discover the place*2 and capture photos. 17.00H -18.00 Transfer to Chefchaouen for overnight/dinner at your hotel/riad ( booked on your own).
